Sometimes fans ask if we need soda tabs to make our bags. Thank you for thinking of us, but we have plenty! Escama Studio buys our post-consumer recycled pop tops by the ton from aluminum recycling centers in Brazil. But if you have pop tops and you don't know what to do with them, we urge our fans to donate their recycled soda pop tops to a worthy cause: the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald House Charities work to provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since 1974, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House.
Many Ronald McDonald Houses work with local recycling centers to receive money for collecting tabs from aluminum cans.
Find a Ronald McDonald House near you that participates in the Pop Tab Collection Program. Your local House may provide cardboard collection containers that can be distributed to schools, community and civic groups and other organizations that want to help. Drop-off sites for pop tabs range in location, from the House to McDonald's restaurants, local banks and grocery stores.
