Crossbody cell phone purse made in Brazil from up-cycled aluminum. Designed to fit most models...
The Laura is a boho crossbody bag has the shiny metallic appearance of medieval chainmail...
The Laura hobo bag is one of the largest purses that we make. It looks...
Love this bag...surprisingly light, roomy with organizational pocket inside, and love the fact that it's recycled. Plus it's just really cool looking. I actually bought it after seeing another woman with it at a conference...she gave me the little card they smartly send to promote themselves and I bought my own.
This is my second bag from Escama, because the first one was a little smaller than I anticipated. I love it too, and I switch back and forth. This new one is much larger and I love the longer strap, although it is a little too short for me to wear as a cross-body bag. I guess I'll just have to save up to buy the purse with the longer strap :)
The first time I wore it, I walked into a store and a woman walked up to me and told me she LOVED my bag. Rather a nice compliment to Escama Studios. Since then, several people have made positive comments about it. So far, I'm very pleased with both bags and enjoy them very much.
I love love love ❤️ it.
The day after posting a positive review of this bag, the stitching has separated at the top seam. I searched all over the internet for a phone number, emailed now 3 times and still cannot get any customer support for this defective bag. I purchased 3 of them and now have regrets. Perhaps I need to dispute the charge because I can't get help through email.
I love escama bags! I have the original sorroco small bag as well as the slightly larger masha cross strap bag. But use those bags only as special occasion bags since they are not large enough to carry all my everyday stuff... the Tote bags are too large and much more expensive. The Socorro XL is the perfect size for everyday! I like the other improvements to the bag as well: extra internal pocketing and the change to a metal zipper rather than plastic teeth which had failed for me on a couple of the bags (Escama has been great about repairs), and the addition of a pop top zipper pull tab. The 40" strap is fine for me as a crossbody (I'm 5'4"). I find the strap that it twists more than the masha cross strap when putting it on. not sure why... maybe it's wider?
I get compliments and questions on each of my escama bags everytime I use them. The crocheted aluminum pull tabs material and the bag itself is lightweight, sturdy, beautiful and eco friendly. I prefer the silver/grey yarn color. I always tell people who ask about the bags about Escama and the Brazillian women's collective and hope that they find the website and start their own collection of Escama bags!
