'It's amazing what people can make out of recycled material', that's what people say when they see this tiny marvel of creativity. The brooch pin is a clever piece of jewelry made of post-consumer recycled aluminum soda tabs and designed by the talented Brazilian artist, Daniel Ribeiro dos Santos. You can wear it pinned to a lapel or as an accent on a scarf or hat band. The brooch comes gift boxed and it makes a perfect gift.
Dimensions: 2.5" Diameter
Material: Post-consumer recycled aluminum soda tabs, finished with pin back and locking bar.
Handmade in Brazil by fair trade artisan collectives. Each piece includes a hang tag bearing the signature of the artist who made it.
As always I get tons of compliments on all my Escama products. Love it. Unique, functional, beautiful.
I wore the pin for three days, when the glue holding the soda can "flower" to the locking pin failed, and the flower fell to the ground. I suggest using stronger glue to hold the two together.
I gave myself a gift today, after a month of hard work on a story. I decided to order a new Escama piece I'd been reminding myself I wanted. It's winter in NYC right now and I never go out without my black felt hat. I turn up one side, 'Aussie style"; and like to add some unusual decoration. This pin? The very thing!!
